What if a farm could be more than just a farm?
What if farming didn’t just produce food? But also created beauty. Fostered connections. Enabled learning. Embodied hospitality. Nurtured culture and kindled hope. Beerenberg is our attempt to create just such a place. A place where people can experience what a different way of doing business, working and living together might look like.
Why we are redeveloping things right now
For decades, our farm building (Vierkanter) has led a shadowy existence. It was run-down and empty. We are now breathing new life into it and restoring it to its former glory. In doing so, we are laying the foundations for our vision and the next stage of development for this place.
We are not just carrying out renovations. We are also not just constructing a new building. We are creating opportunities.

At the heart of it all lies the same question:
How do we create a multidimensional space that is ecologically sound, economically viable and a place where all living beings can thrive?

Our vision for the
We want to create a place that is recognised internationally whilst remaining deeply rooted in its region.
A place where people come to buy great produce. And return because they have felt something special being here.
A place where holidays, agriculture, culture, cuisine, education and nature do not exist in isolation from one another, but are part of the same story.
We believe in a form of agriculture that produces not only resources, but relationships: between people and the landscape; between producers and consumers; between work and purpose; between heritage and the future.
Our Belief
Many people today are asking themselves: How do we want to live in the future? How do we want to run our economy? How do we want to produce food? How do we want to shape our communities?
We do not claim to know all the answers. But we believe that the only way to find them is to start exploring new paths.
Beerenberg is one such path.

For potential contributors
We are not looking for employees. We are looking for people with a sense of purpose. People who want to take on responsibility. People who want to make a difference. People who see agriculture, craftsmanship, cuisine, hospitality, culture or education as part of a wider whole. Beerenberg is set to become a place where talent can flourish. Not just plants and animals.
We are currently putting together our team for 2027 – if our concept or vision appeals to you, please do get in touch.
